CONNECT TO YOUR CULTURE.
Native Max is a digital media company devoted to inspiring, entertaining, and celebrating Indigenous people through positive storytelling across a range of platforms. It’s more than a magazine–it’s a movement.
We are a community of creatives on a mission to strengthen connections to culture and identity by inspiring and empowering our readers. Through a constellation of platforms and networks, we focus on expanding Indigenous talent across print, digital, online, events, and beyond.
OUR HISTORY
It all started with just a magazine. Today, Native Max is an award-winning multimedia brand with a constellation of platforms spanning across print, web, digital, mobile, social and more. Through our properties, signature events, strategic partnerships, unique product extensions and engaging content, we put the reader at the center. Founder Kelly Holmes (Cheyenne River Lakota) set out to create a platform that featured positive people and stories of Indian Country in a creative way. Native Max Magazine launched in 2012 as a print magazine, the country’s first publication that featured Native fashion. Native Max Magazine quickly became a national sensation. Today, it has evolved into a digital company with a constellation of platforms spanning print, digital, signature events, strategic partnerships, unique product extensions, engaging content, and more.
THE MAGAZINE
Finally, a magazine that focuses on the positivity of Indigenous people while encouraging readers to connect to their culture.
Native Max Magazine offers exclusive content, a refreshing outbound of unique editorial voice and clear, striking visual presentation, a diverse content mix not seen anywhere else, and very little to zero retouching of photos.
All of our issues are printed in the USA and shipped from our office in Colorado. Each magazine is designed and produced in-house to the size of 8.5 x 11 inches with a matte cover, glossy pages and perfect bound.
OUR ACCOLADES
We were honored to receive the Small Business of the Year award in 2014, awarded by the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of Commerce.
The next year, our founder Kelly Holmes was the youngest business owner to be selected to participate in the cohort for Natives Go Global, an initiative by Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of Commerce.
