You Need to Know Tia Wood, a Stylish Native Singer on the Rise, was published yesterday by Vogue’s Indigenous (Ojibwe) senior fashion writer Christian Allaire. Tia Wood released her first single, Dirt Roads, earlier this month. Allaire wanted to capture the excitement felt throughout NDN Country upon her release and the overall appreciation for her music. Tia Wood expressed her gratitude in an Instagram Post.

Dirt Roads is a love letter to my family, my home & all indigenous people out there. Hearing you all share your different versions of what this song means to you has been such a privilege and dream come true. To have my people hear themselves in the music I create is all I’ve ever wanted.
