The announcement Indigenous fashion fans have been waiting for is here. Indigenous New York Fashion Week (INYFW) has officially confirmed its 2026 dates, and the vision for this year’s event is expansive.

Running September 10–15, 2026, in Manhattan, NYC (venue locations to be announced), INYFW 2026 promises to be a full week of cultural programming that goes well beyond the runway. According to the organizers at Indigenize NYC, this year’s event will include concerts, panel discussions, fashion shows, pop-up experiences, and more, a multi-dimensional celebration of Indigenous creativity and community in one of the world’s fashion capitals.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the key dates and details announced so far:

  • Designer and model applications open in June 2026
  • Ticket sales officially open in early August 2026
  • Event dates: September 10–15, 2026, Manhattan, NYC
  • Venue locations, partnerships, and additional programming announcements are still to come

The announcement was accompanied by a stunning image of model @caroltefy, photographed in Central Park, on Lenapehoking, the ancestral homeland of the Lenape people, by photographer @mikesutter and styled by @adrianaaguillen. It’s a fitting visual for an event that roots Indigenous presence firmly in New York City.

Whether you’re a designer ready to apply, a model looking to walk, or a fashion lover planning your September around it, keep INYFW 2026 on your radar. This is exactly the kind of stage Indigenous fashion deserves.
