Fresh off of one runway to another, 2024 has Indigenous supermodel Quannah ChasingHorse booked and busy. Quannah just recently wrapped up her walk for K. Lookinghorse at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) before she graced the stage in the world’s fashion capital, sporting several ensembles by fashion brands GANNI, Peter Do, TORISHÉJU, Gabriela Hearst, and Casablanca.

GANNI

For GANNI, Quannah wore the SS25 knitted short-sleeve sweater crafted using @circulose layered over the Organza shirt and dress. Styled with the latest iteration of the Bou bag in XXL and made with @oleatex, a next-gen material from GANNI’s Fabric of the Future program.

GANNI is a certified B corporation, meaning the brand cares deeply about societal and environmental causes and implements business practices that uphold its beliefs. The brand prides itself on its affordable, luxury, sustainable fashion. With Quannah’s dedication to environmentalism and humanitarianism, it’s no wonder the pair chose to work together for this year’s showcase.

Peter Do

For Peter Do, Quannah wore two ensembles by the designer: a stunning brown power suit without an undershirt and shades and a minimalist grey vest and flowy dress pants paired with clear aviators. No jewelry or high-fashion makeup was featured in the look for an office-ready combination.

Peter Do is a Vietnamese designer who focuses on testing and refining every detail of his pieces to better adapt to the complexities of people’s lives. In his own words, “PETER DO is dedicated [to] creating a new future in fashion through thoughtful design.”

TORISHÉJU

For TORISHÉJU, Quannah wore a black oversized blazer with no undershirt and a grey chiffon miniskirt. The ensemble was paired with black slouch socks, black pointed kitten heels and a dramatic hair and makeup look.

TORISHÉJU is a Nigerian-Brazilian designer based in London who brings a “Hello, here I am!” to the fashion world. Her line and work as a designer are still relevantly new, but we expect to see a lot more from her in the coming years.

Gabriela Hearst

For Gabriela Hearst, Quannah wore a black solid suiting half-moon drawstring skirt with custom silver spiral teardrop charms. Fine jewelry howlite, onyx and tiger’s eye neolithic inspired handcrafted beaded necklace. Drawstring bag in black nappa leather with rose gold signature carabiner handle. Paired with a Circe sandal in black calf leather with custom rose gold and black enamel buckle.

Gabriela Hearst is a Uruguayan designer with a luxurious and head-turning style. The showcased pieces in the SS25 showcase highlighted the power and raw beauty of the female body, paired with elegance and graceful silhouettes. The brand also prides itself on its dedication to sustainability for both society and the environment.

Casablanca

For Casablanca, Quannah wore a brown knitted two-piece with sticker-like colorful embellishments. Paired with a Chartreuse fluffy jacket and open-toed black heels. Casablanca kept Quannah’s makeup to a minimum, allowing her striking features and glowing skin to shine.

Casablanca is a luxury French clothing brand that mixes intricate streetwear with timeless statement pieces. In its own words, “Casablanca is a modern reimagining of the timeless apres-sport aesthetic.” The brand’s pieces and reputation truly speak for themselves, with styles worn by stars like Paris Hilton and Zendaya.

Native Max’s Takeaway

Next year’s spring and summer trends are in for a downpour of chartreuse, which seems to be the “It-Girl” color at this year’s exhibition.

The ‘Office Siren’ look is here to stay, with business silhouettes featured throughout many of the designers’ new collections.

Glossy skin is in. Paired with a striking, graphic eyeliner, this combo is sure to please.
