On Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8, Black Hills Powwow hosted Native Fashion Expo at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, SD.
The weekend was caulk full of workshops, pop up shops, vendors, meet & greets, and a fashion show which featured performances by First Nations hip hop artist Kara Jade among others. The Native Max team was on location to cover the entire weekend.
Standout designers of the fashion show were OXDX Clothing, Designhouse of Darylene, Helen Oro Designs, Still Smoking Designs, C.lysias Designs, Mildj Native Fashions and Collins Provost Jewelry.
The event was proudly sponsored by Native Women’s Society of the Great Plains, South Dakota Coalition Ending Domestic & Sexual Violence, Black Hills Powwow, Still Smoking Designs, Wiconi Wawokiya Inc., Native Sun News Today, and Native Max.
