The SWAIA Native Fashion Show is set to return in spectacular form this year at the 2025 Santa Fe Indian Market, bringing together some of the most visionary Indigenous designers from across Turtle Island and beyond. Co-produced by celebrated artists and cultural leaders Dallin Maybee (Seneca & Northern Arapaho) and Peshawn Bread (Comanche, Kiowa, Cherokee), the fashion show will take place Sunday, August 17 at 3 PM on the Santa Fe Plaza.
This year’s curated lineup features a powerhouse roster of designers known for their innovation, cultural storytelling, and unapologetic approach to Native fashion. Designers include:
- Jamie Okuma (Luiseño, Shoshone-Bannock, Wailaki, & Okinawan) – Renowned for her intricate beadwork and couture fashion pieces that blend traditional design with contemporary elegance.
- Lauren Good Day (Arikara, Hidatsa, Blackfeet, Plains Cree) – A favorite for her vibrant, wearable art inspired by her cultural roots and identity.
- Penny Singer (Diné/Navajo) – Known for her bold textiles and clothing that reflect a deep connection to the land, language, and people of the Southwest.
- Osamuskwasis (Cree and Dene, from Pigeon Lake, Alberta) – An emerging force in the international fashion scene, blending Indigenous futurism with Cree tradition.
- Jontay Kham (Plains Cree) – A rising star whose modern silhouettes and gender-expansive designs are challenging norms and redefining Native fashion.

The 2025 SWAIA Native Fashion Show will once again push the boundaries of Indigenous style and storytelling, elevating fashion as a form of art, resistance, and celebration. Under the guidance of Maybee and Bread—both known for their work in fashion, film, and Indigenous arts—the event promises to be one of the most exciting highlights of Indian Market weekend.
