Quannah took to Instagram to express her gratitude for another Vogue feature:
“Absolutely love this story and so thankful to be a part of it. Being able to tie together traditional and contemporary hair styles while seeing the practice of different hair braiding from multiple cultures and walks of life was so beautiful. I wanted to find a way to represent both my cultures and I’m so glad I was able to collaborate on this. Braiding is a world wide practice but we have to remember to stay respectful and understanding when we’re creatively expressing ourselves that we make sure they were meant for you and your hair type. There are reasons as to why each culture had certain types of braids and hairstyles and not only was I able to learn but I was also able to share my own knowledge from my cultures.
