Apple Pledges to Contribute to the Sundance Institute Indigenous Program and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian

The mega-billion-dollar company is set to present grants to continue its partnership with Indigenous communities.

Apple supports Indigenous storytelling and preservation of Native American history through its Empowering Creatives program, providing grants to the Sundance Institute Indigenous Program and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. 

Apple has collaborated with Indigenous communities on initiatives such as adding representation of Indigenous lands to Maps, supporting communities disproportionately impacted by climate change, and supporting languages of the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Osage tribal nations on its devices.
