Devery Jacobs is now a household name for the homes that are watching the breakout hit show, Reservation Dogs. The Kanien’kehá:ka actor has been working hard in the industry. Her role within the show goes far beyond what viewers see on screen. And a quick Google search will show that Jacobs has been in the film industry since 2008. Her track record is rather boastful, and it’s refreshing to see an Indigenous actress with a strong filmography.
Jacobs is iconic, and her look is flawless. The October 2022 Elle Canada cover and article that was published on the 20th of this month, looks astonishing. She is dripped in Sacai, Samsoe Samsoe, Dries Van Noten, Chloe, and Louis Vuitton in one of the shots. If she’d wanted to model she would undoubtedly find success there too. In another shot, Jacobs is donning Miu Miu and Chanel Coco Crush jewelry.
How is she able to channel the many facets of fearless fashion? She brings divine femininity to a seemingly conservative outfit; breaking its confinement with personality beyond clothes. She was featured just last September in an interview discussing Indigenous communities reclaiming their story narratives and the positive reflection this has on Indigenous peoples. Jacobs holds an extensive list of accomplishments on and off set. Jacobs had founded the Kahnawà:ke Youth Forum and also worked with the Idle No More Movement. She even took the opportunity to promote awareness and support for the Stop the Line 3 Pipeline efforts in her Elle interview last year. She is overflowing with beauty inside and out.
